Take care of your artwork

Keep in mind that the image surface and the paper of your photo prints are sensitive. Therefore you should handle your print with care to avoid grease stains and fingerprints. The print is best protected framed behind glass. If you want to avoid reflections in the glass, frame your photo print with float-glass from SPART. Avoid placing the image in direct sunlight.

Save all documentation regarding your artwork, including purchase documents, exhibition catalogue, photographer, image description as well as any certificates. This might come in handy if you decide to sell your artwork some day.

If you want to archive an unframed photo print, it’s best to do so with the print flat and protected by a plastic film or tissue paper. If your image is stored rolled up in a cardboard tube, it is best to store it standing up. Keep it in a dark, dry and cool place.
